ANNVILLE, PA (Feb. 2, 2026) -- Senior Morgan Benner was honored on Monday morning being named to the field hockey Academic All-MAC Team as announced by the conference office.  

The Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in the athletic competition during the 2025 season. The team consists of 11 student-athletes from both the MAC Freedom and MAC Commonwealth teams voted on and selected by the Sports Information Directors of the MAC schools highlighting each student-athletes academic and athletic achievements. To be eligible, you must have a 3.2 GPA for the 2025 fall semester.  

Benner, an early childhood education major, has an 3.911 GPA, earning Academic All-MAC for the first time in her career.  

She adds this honor to the long list of postseason accolades that include MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll, All-ECAC Team, NFHCA All-Region Second Team and MAC Freedom First-Team Honors.  

Benner finished the season as the leader of the defense, tallying two defensive saves on the season. She was third on the team in scoring with five goals and an assist for 11 points
