Baseball Rallies for 5-4 Comeback Win at Rutgers-Camden

Box Score Camden, NJ (February 21, 2026) - The DeSales University baseball team scored twice in the ninth and twice more in the 11th inning rallying for 5-4 win over Rutgers-Camden in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs fell behind 3-0 as the Scarlet Raptors scored once in the first inning and twice in the third inning.

DeSales got one run back in the fourth on an RBI single from senior Shane Anhalt and that score stood into the ninth inning.

DSU got a leadoff single from first-year Kevin Brace and junior Owen Yoder was hit by a pitch. After a groundout, first-year Collin Peacock and Yoder stole second and third base to put two runners in scoring position.

First-year Alex Bersani knocked in a run on an error and first-year Dominic Berretta tied the game with a sacrifice fly to right field.

Neither team scored in the 10th and the Bulldogs took a 5-3 lead in the 11th on sacrifice flies from Peacock and Bersani and sophomore Alex Crudder did the rest earning the win on the mound pitching four innings, striking out five, and holding the two-run lead in the bottom of the 11th.

Anhalt, Brace, and senior Bobby Dingell all had two hits in the win.
