The Basics Final Score: DeSales – 5, Dickinson – 15 Records: DeSales (3-2 overall); Dickinson (3-1 overall) This is the first time the Bulldogs and the Red Devils first time meeting. How it Happened Dickinson opened the first quarter with a large scoring run; first-year Olivia Costa was able to cut after a goal assisted by Emily Mulroony. Senior Bridey Lawler found the back of the net on a free position shot. Halfway through the third quarter, Costa scored again on another free position shot. The Bulldogs were able to capitalize on two more scoring opportunities, bringing the final score of the game 15-5. Top Bulldog Performers First-year Costa, finished the game with four of the five goals for the Bulldogs, two draw controls and one ground ball. Mulroony, finished the afternoon with three draw controls, one assist, and one ground ball. Kendall Kardon lead the team with three ground balls on the afternoon. For the Foes Goalkeepers Peyton Vandorpe and Brynna O'Brien both ended the game with a .500 save percentage. Grace Kelly led the team with two goals and six assists for eight points. Inside the Box Score Both DeSales and Dickinson finished the game with two free position shots each. Dickinson had the slim majority 15-14 on ground balls. The Bulldogs were 87 percent on the clears completing 14-for-16. Up Next DeSales will head to Goucher College for a non-conference game on Saturday, March 7.
