Late Heroics Lift Men's Basketball past Lebanon Valley, 76-73

Annville, PA (February 4, 2026) - The DeSales University men's basketball team hit four three-pointers over the final six minutes after being down 10 points late to take home a 76-73 win at Lebanon Valley College in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

The Basics
  • Final Score: DeSales - 76, Lebanon Valley - 73
  • Records: DeSales (12-8, 7-2 MAC Freedom); Lebanon Valley (5-15, 3-6 MAC Freedom)
  • The win sweeps the season series with the Flying Dutchmen and moves DSU to 14-12 all-time vs. LVC.
  • The Bulldogs have now won four straight for the second time this season and stay tied at the top of the MAC Freedom standings with two other teams with five games left in the regular season.
How it Happened
  • DSU opened the game scoring the first five points, but LVC countered with a 10-0 spurt to take a 10-5 lead four minutes into the game.
  • The rest of the first-half was a back-and-forth affair that saw LVC hit a three with 19 ticks left to take a nine point cushion (43-34) into the halftime locker room.
  • That lead quickly grew to as many as 14 points early in the second-half before a 10-0 Bulldog run made it 48-44 with 14:20 to go in the game.
  • Senior Jayden Thomas led the way during that run with six points.
  • Back-to-back 3's from sophomore Luke Keppel trimmed the margin down to one point with 12:11 left, but a 9-2 LVC run a few minutes later gave the hosts a 65-55 lead with 6:47 left.
  • Thomas put a stop to that run with a 3 igniting what would be a 13-0 DeSales run capped off by a three-pointer out of a timeout from Keppel with 1:22 left in the game.
  • After LVC made two free throws, senior Ryan Glassmacher came up big with a three-pointer in the corner to make it 71-67 with 45 ticks left.
  • A quick bucket from the Flying Dutchmen was followed by two free throws from Keppel keeping it a four-point game and the two teams traded free throws as DSU still led by four (75-71) with 21 seconds left.
  • LVC got another quick layup and this time Keppel made just 1-of-2 but a good look at a three from the Flying Dutchmen was off the back iron as time expired giving the Bulldogs the road win.
