Madison, NJ (February 7, 2026) - Sophomores
Jayden Thomas and
Luke Keppel combined to score 54 points leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past FDU-Florham, 80-61, in MAC Freedom action to become the first team to clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason.

How it Happened
- DeSales opened the game with a 13-4 lead after two 3's from Thomas 5:31 into the game.
- FDU out-scored DSU 19-6 over the next 10 minutes to take a 23-19 lead with 4:39 left in the opening half.
- Thomas, Keppel, and first-year Riley Buzby each hit a triple over the final four minutes of the half to lead a 13-2 run giving the Bulldogs a 32-25 halftime lead.
- The lead grew to 12 points several times before the Devils got within six (48-42) with 11:08 remaining.
- A three from senior Will Meeker was followed by two Thomas freebies to push the lead back to double digits.
- FDU made one more run to get within seven (67-60) with 3:55 left but the Bulldogs finished the game on a 14-1 run to post the final tally.

- Thomas finished with a game-high 33 points, adding eight boards and six assists.
- Keppel had 21 points, hitting 5 3's and had five rebounds and four helpers.
For the Foes
- Frankie Denvir led the Devils with 16 points and Mac Creek had 14 tallies and seven assists.
- Chris Smith totaled 12 points.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot 49.1 percent from the field and was 13-for-28 (46.4 percent) from outside the arc.
