Women's Lacrosse Soars Past Immaculata, 22-5, Linebaugh Ties Game Record For Assists

CENTER VALLEY, PA (March 10, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's lacrosse team took the, 22-5 win, over Immaculata University Tuesday afternoon. Senior, Hailey Linebaugh tied the game record with eight assists.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: Desales – 22, Immaculata – 5 

  • Records: Desales (5-2 overall), Immaculata (0-5 overall) 

  • This is the fourth meeting between the Mighty Macs and the Bulldogs; DeSales has come out on top in all four meet ups.  

How it Happened 

  • DeSales opened the first hot, going on a five-goal streak; it was not until the end of the first that Immaculata was able to sneak one in.  

  • The Bulldogs responded to that Immaculata goal with two more of their own, scored by Emily Mulroony and Amber Zimmerman to bring the score to 7-1 at the end of the first.  

  • The second quarter began with two DeSales goals, both assisted by Linebaugh before the Mighty Macs responded with another goal.  

  • DSU then went on a four-goal scoring streak, to bring the score to 14-3, going into the half.  

  • Coming out the half first-year, Faith Russo scored her first career goal, off an Immaculata turnover she caused.  

  • To end the third quarter, the Bulldogs scored three goals, all assisted by Linebaugh.  

  • DeSales ended the fourth with three additional goals, two coming from first-year Marissa Kozak. Finishing the game 22-5. 

For the Bulldogs 

  • In addition to tying the game record of eight assists, Linebaugh also contributed a goal to the night.  

  • Russo added her first career goal, and Keira Linebaugh added her first assist to the season.  

  • First-year Olivia Costa leads the team with six draw controls in the evening.  

  • Sophomore, Zimmerman was one-for-one on free position shots.  

For the Foes  

  • Elizabeth Mahmud finished the game with four out of the five goals for the Mighty Macs, lead the team in draw controls with three, and two cause turnovers.  

Inside the Box Score 

  • DeSales finished the evening ten-for-ten on clears, compared to Immaculata's nine-for-18.  

  • DeSales also took the majority in draw controls with 18 total compared to the Mighty Macs nine.
