Men's Lacrosse Downs Moravian, 11-5

BETHLEHEM, PA (March 18, 2026) -- The DeSales University men's lacrosse team takes down Moravian University, 11-5, on Wednesday evening in non-conference action.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: DeSales – 11, Moravian – 5  

  • Records: DeSales (2-6 overall), Moravian (5-2 overall) 

  • This is the 13th meeting between the Bulldogs and the Greyhounds, DSU has taken the majority of the wins, with this evening's game bringing them to an 8-5 record.  

How it Happened  

  • DeSales started out the game strong with a goal four minutes in, from senior, Colin Spring, off of a Moravian turnover.  

  • The Bulldogs then were able to get two more goals in during the first, from Jason Reilly and Mark Winkler Jr. In the last three minutes of the game. On the defensive side of the ball, DSU was able to hold Moravian to zero, ending the first period 3-0.  

  • Moravian was first to strike in the second quarter, but DeSales responded with a man-up goal scored by TJ Kearnsassisted by Jake Hurd. Senior, Taylor Wikert also added a goal on the second, to bring the score to 5-2 going into the half.  

  • In the third, the Bulldogs and Moravian went back and forth with goals, Hurd and Kearns added two more, and the third goal for the Bulldogs was scored by Colin Getz, giving DSU the 8-4 lead going into the final quarter of play.  

  • During the fourth quarter, DeSales scored three more times, securing the 11-5 win over Moravian. 

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • Junior goalkeeper, AJ Ardizone finished the evening with a save percentage of 0.545. 

  • Kearns finished the evening with three goals, three ground balls and three cause turnovers.  

  • Wikert ended the evening with three cause turnovers, five ground balls and one goal.  

  • Sophomore, Patch Day lead the team in ground balls with six.  

For the Foes. 

  • Nick Coffaro, contributed one goal, two assists and six shots on goal for the Greyhounds. 

  • Goalkeeper, Liam Kelly finished the game with a save percentage of 0.560 

Inside the Box Score  

  • DeSales won the majority of faceoffs going 13-for-19 on the evening.  

  • The Bulldogs took the majority, 39-26, on ground balls and the 16-11 majority on cause turnovers.  

Up Next  

  • DeSales adds another non-conference game on Saturday afternoon, when they meet with Colorado College at home.
