Men's Lacrosse Falls to Colorado College Saturday Afternoon

CENTER VALLEY, PA (March 21, 2026) -- The DeSales University men's lacrosse team fell to the Colorado College Tigers, 21-8, Saturday afternoon in Center Valley.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: DeSales – 8, Colorado College – 21  

  • Records: DeSales (2-6 overall), Colorado College (7-2 overall) 

How it Happened 

  • The Bulldogs were the first on the board, after a goal scored by sophomore, TJ Kearns and assisted by senior Jake Hurd.  

  • During the second, Hurd added a man up goal, assisted by Andrew Krieg and Winkler Jr. Added another to the board for the Bulldogs but it was not enough to cut the 11-5 lead that the Tigers took.  

  • Coming out of the half Colorado College added two more to the board, DSU cut the scoring streak with another man up goal from Hurd assisted by Krieg, ending the third 17-6.  

  • Opening the fourth, the Tigers went on a three-goal streak, that the Bulldogs cut into it with a goal from Joe Cieleski, ending the game, 21-8.  

Top Bulldog Performers 

  • Senior Taylor Wikert finished the game leading in cause turnovers and ground balls with four each.  

  • Hurd ended with two goals and two assist for four points, leading the teams in points for the afternoon. 

For the Foes 

  • Goalkeeper, Robert Spence has a .636 save percentage on the afternoon.  

  • Aidan Niklaus had two goals and five assists for seven points on the afternoon.  

Up Next  

  • The Bulldogs take on Widener on Friday, March 27, in their last game before conference play at home.
