Offense Stays Hot in Sixth Straight Win; Completes Sweep of Stevens

Center Valley, PA (March 23, 2026) - The DeSales University baseball team scored double digit runs for the fifth straight game, earning its sixth straight win, and finishing off a three-game sweep of Stevens with an 18-5 win on Monday evening in MAC Freedom action at Weiland Park.

DSU took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a bases loaded walk by senior John Rorick.

The Ducks took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the top of the second inning but that lead was short lived as the Bulldogs crossed home plate five times in the second inning that included a two-RBI single from graduate student Owen Fischl.

Stevens scored two more in the top of the third to make it a 6-5 game but DeSales kept the offense going with five more runs in the bottom of the third to lead 11-5.  First-year Kevin Brace and Rorick each had RBI singles and first-year Dominic Berretta a two-RBI sacrifice bunt in the third.

The Bulldogs pitchers did the rest as first-year Nick Wolf, sophomore Kevin Eden, and first-year Ben Warren tossing six scoreless innings allowing just two hits and striking out eight over the final six frames.

DSU added two runs in the seventh and five more runs in the eighth inning to post the final tally.

Eden earned the win on the bump with three scoreless/hitless innings, striking out three.

Fischl and Brace each had three hits with Fischl scoring four runs and knocking in two, while Brace scored three times and also had two RBIs.  Senior JT Anderosky had two hits and scored twice, sophomore Jacob Rivera had two hits and scored four times, and Berretta had four RBIs in the win.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Montclair State University for a non-conference game beginning at 6:00 pm.
