Women's Lacrosse Falls at Swarthmore

SWARTHMORE, PA (March 25, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's lacrosse team fell to Swarthmore College, 20-5, on Wednesday evening in non-conference play.  

How it Happened  

  • Swarthmore started with a four-goal streak to open the game, DeSales added a goal to the board, after senior Bridey Lawler, was able to capitalize on a free position shot, sneaking in one goal for DeSales.  

  • The Garnet Tide added two more goals to the quarter, bringing the score to 6-1, ending the first.  

  • The Bulldogs went on a scoring streak of their own to open the second. Senior, Christina DiGuglielmo added a second one to the board for the Bulldogs. First-year Emily Mulroony was able to capitalize on a free position shot, and a man up opportunity. 

  • Swarthmore added to their total, bringing the score to 10-4 going into the half.  

  • The Garnet Tide were strong on the attack for the remaining two quarters, DeSales added a fifth goal to the board halfway through the fourth, scored by Lawler from Mulroony.  

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • Mulroony led the team in points with three, from two goals and one assists. She also contributed four draw controls to the evening.  

  • First-year Kendall Kardon has a strong defensive presence, contributing one cause turnover and three ground balls.  

  • Lawler ended the evening with two goals, one ground ball, and one draw control.  

For the Foes  

  • Aubree Daugherty led the team in points with six from five goals, and one assist. She also added four ground balls onto the evening.  

  • Goalkeepers, Brooke Carrier and Elizabeth Walsh finished with .636 and .667 save percentages respectively.  

Inside the Box Score  

  • DeSales finished the evening 14-for-17 on clears, Swarthmore finished 17-for-17. 

  • Swarthmore took the slim majority on ground balls 20-15.

  • DeSales takes on Stockton in the last non conference  game of the season at home on Saturday afternoon.
