Doylestown, PA (March 27, 2026) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped its first MAC Freedom game of the year falling at Delaware Valley University, 7-6, on Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI single from seniorÂ
John Rorick and sacrifice fly from juniorÂ
Owen Yoder.
Del. Val. got those runs back in the bottom of the inning but the Bulldogs reclaimed the lead with a run in the top of the third on an Aggie error.
After the two traded runs in the fifth, the Aggies took a 6-4 lead with three runs in the seventh.
DSU tied the game at six after an RBI single from seniorÂ
Shane Anhalt and Del. Val. error.
Tied at six entering the bottom of the ninth, Delaware Valley put runners on second and third with no one out. DSU got a line out to get the first out but a soft grounder to third base saw the throw home get away as the game winning run scampered home giving the Aggies the walk-off win.
SeniorÂ
JT Anderosky went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two stolen bases. First-yearÂ
Kevin Brace had two hits and two runs scored and Rorick also had two hits.
SeniorÂ
Mike Hooker pitched six strong allowing just three runs and striking out eight.
These two teams are back in action on Sunday when they finish up the three-game set with a doubleheader at Weiland Park beginning at Noon.
