Doylestown, PA (March 29, 2026) - The DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a MAC Freedom doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at Delaware Valley University.
Game One (L/1-9)
The Aggies got control of this one early scoring six runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 6-0 lead and led 7-0 thru two innings.
DSU got its lone run of the game in the third on an RBI double from juniorÂ
Kiara Castera before DVU scored once in the fourth and ended the game with one in the bottom of the sixth.
JuniorÂ
Jackie Capers took the loss allowing six runs in one inning of work.
Game Two (L/5-9)
The Bulldogs took a 4-0 lead in game two scoring all four in the second inning on RBI singles from seniorÂ
Ava Goodman and Castera, as well as a two-RBI single from sophomoreÂ
Gianna Angermeier.
That lead stood into the fourth when Delaware Valley scored nine unearned runs, including a grand slam homer with the game tied at four to take a 9-4 lead.
SeniorÂ
Amy Wood added an RBI single in the seventh to post the final margin.
Castera and juniorÂ
Paige Hromin each had two hits in the game two loss. First-yearÂ
Brianna Bauscher pitched six innings allowing four unearned runs and striking out two.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Neumann University for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 pm.
