Center Valley, PA (March 7, 2026) - The DeSales University baseball team took two of three games from Widener University on Friday and Saturday in non-conference action.
Game One (L/9-10)
This one started on Friday, was halted because of darkness, then resumed and finished on Saturday with the Bulldogs falling 10-9.
After each team traded runs in the first inning, the Pride scored five times in the second to take a 6-1 lead.
SophomoreÂ
Jacob Rivera made it 6-2 with an RBI single in the third and the Bulldogs took a brief 8-7 lead with five runs in the seventh inning. SeniorÂ
Owen Fischl had an RBI double, juniorÂ
Owen Yoder had an RBI single, and sophomoreÂ
Aaron Schneider hit a two-run home run in the big inning.
Widener answered with three runs in the eighth to reclaim the lead (10-8) and held off a late Saturday rally for the win.

JT Anderosky and Rivera each had three hits in the first game. Schneider finished 4-for-5 with three RBIs. SeniorÂ
Andrew McGowan pitched well tossing four innings allowing just one run.
Game Two (W/8-2)
The Pride took a 2-1 lead thru one inning of play but the Bulldogs scored four times in the second inning to claim a 5-2 advantage.
First-yearÂ
Kevin Brace had an RBI single, Fischl an RBI single, and seniorÂ
Shane Anhalt and RBI single in the four-run second.
The Bulldogs added three more runs in the fourth as Anhalt and Yoder each had RBI hits and seniorÂ
Mike Hooker did the rest tossing a complete-game allowing six hits and two runs, striking out four.
Anderosky, Brace, and Anhalt each had two hits, while Fischl went 4-for-4 at the plate.
Game Three (W/5-2)
The Bulldogs scored a run in five different innings in this one and the pitching staff did the rest as four guys combined to allow just three hits and two earned runs over seven innings. First-year
Ben Warren was among the mound staff tossing three scoreless allowing just one hit and striking out two.
Fischl had two more hits and two RBIs and first-yearÂ
Dominic Berretta had two hits and two RBIs in the game three win.
The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Florida to play five games beginning with Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday.
