Dallas, PA (April 10, 2026) - The DeSales University baseball team opened up a 5-0 lead and held on late for a 5-3 win in the series opener in MAC Freedom action on Friday afternoon.

Owen Fischl started the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. Â
SeniorÂ
John Rorick knocked in two runs with a sacrifice bunt in the second inning and Fischl and first-yearÂ
Collin Peacock each hit solo home runs in the fourth to give DSU a 5-0 lead.
The Cougars got two runs back in the bottom of the fourth inning and scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth inning but that was it as the Bulldogs opened the weekend three-game set with a road win.
SeniorÂ
Mike Hooker earned his fifth win of the season pitching six strong innings allowing two runs and striking out five. JuniorÂ
Alex Crudder recorded his second save of the season with three strong innings allowing just one hit and striking out three.
Peacock, Fischl, and seniorÂ
JT Anderosky each had two hits in the win to lead the offensive attack.
These two teams will wrap-up the three game set tomorrow at Weiland Park with first pitch of game one set for Noon.
