Men's Lacrosse Falls To Arcadia, 14-13, During Double Overtime

CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 11, 2026) -- The DeSales University men's lacrosse fell in double overtime to the Arcadia University Knights, 14-13 in MAC Freedom action.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: DeSales – 13, Arcadia – 14 

  • Records: DeSales (5-8 overall, 2-1 MAC Freedom), Arcadia (9-4 overall, 3-0 MAC Freedom) 

How it Happened  

  • The Bulldogs were first on the board with a goal from Seth Young, assisted by Jason Reilly, Arcadia responded just two minutes later with a goal of their own.  

  • Senior, Mark Winkler Jr. Responded one minute later, to bring the Bulldogs up, with an unassisted goal.  

  • Halfway through the first, the Knights were able to sneak another in, to tie the game, but the Bulldogs defense held them the rest of the quarter, ending the first 2-2.  

  • Just 40-seconds into the second, Winkler Jr added a man-up goal, assisted by Griffin Adams, to bring the Bulldogs up. Winkler Jr. Added a second one minute later, assisted by Young, to give the Bulldogs the two-goal advantage.  

  • Arcadia cut into the Bulldogs four goal streak, with two of their own, bringing the score to 6-4 going into the half.  

  • Young added to the count for the Bulldogs coming out of the half, and the Knights responded one minute later with a goal of their own.  

  • DeSales added a pair of back-to-back goals from Getz and Blake Finnegan, within 40 seconds of each other.  

  • After the pair of Bulldog goals, the Knights added four to the board, to cut into DeSales lead, ending the quarter tied 9-9.  

  • In the fourth, Arcadia was the first to pull away, but Finnegan responded quickly with another goal, assisted by Jake Hurd to tie the game.  

  • The Bulldogs and the Knights went back and forth for the rest of the fourth, DeSales pulled ahead with 5:22 left in the final quarter, after a man-up goal from TJ Kearns.  

  • With just 46-seconds left game, Arcadia added another to the board, to tie the game 13-13, sending the game into overtime.  

  • The Bulldogs and the Knights went into double overtime, before the Knights added a goal with 1:46 left in the second overtime, to end the matchup, 14-13 Arcadia.  

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • Winkler Jr. And Getz led the team in points with four each, both added three goals and one assist for the Bulldogs.  

  • Wikert led the team in ground balls with seven, he also contributed one goal on the afternoon.  

  • Goalkeeper, AJ Ardizone ended the evening with ten saves for a save percentage of .417. 

For the Foes  

  • Dylan Garber led the team in points with six from three goals and three assists, he also contributed one ground ball on the afternoon for the Knights.  

  • Colin Brockman led the team in ground balls with 11, he also added one assist for the Knights.  

  • Goalkeeper, Nathaniel Hudgins ended the afternoon with 12 saves for a save percentage of .480.  

Inside the Box Score  

  • Arcadia took the majority 48-44 ground balls on the afternoon.  

  • The Knights and the Bulldogs were even with 48 shots each, DeSales took the small majority of 25-24 shots on goal.
