Women's Lacrosse Downs Arcadia, 16-6, Saturday Afternoon

CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 11, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's lacrosse team defeated the Arcadia University Knights, 16-6, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: DeSales – 16, Arcadia – 6  

  • Records: DeSales (9-4 overall, 3-0 MAC Freedom), Arcadia (11-2 overall, 2-1 MAC Freedom) 

  • Historically, the Bulldogs and the Knights have gone back and forth in their match ups, this is the second victory in a row for DeSales.  

How it Happened  

  • One minute later, the Knights responded and had an unassisted goal, to bring the score to an even 1-1.  

  • The Bulldogs went on a five-goal scoring streak to finish out the first quarter, DiGuglielmo, Olivia Costa, Emily Mulroony, and Lawler all contributed goals in the first, ending the quarter, 6-1.  

  • DSU added four more in the second, Campola, Costa, Williamson and Mulroony, all contributed to bring the Bulldogs to 12-1 going into the third.  

  • Lawler scored right at the beginning of the third, but the Knights then responded with two of their own.  

  • DeSales ended the two-goal streak that Arcadia went on, with two goals scored by Mulroony and assisted by DiGuglielmo, ending the third 15-3.  

  • Arcadia was the first on the board in the final quarter with a free position goal eight minutes into the quarter, the Knights then went on a small scoring run, sneaking in two more goals.  

  • DeSales responded with one final goal of the quarter scored by Lawler, assisted by DiGuglielmo, ending the game 16-6. 

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • DiGuglielmo led the team in points with seven from six assists and one goal, she also contributed one ground ball on the afternoon.  

  • Lawler and Mulroony both had four goals on the afternoon, Lawler also contributed one cause turnover and one ground ball. Mulroony added four draw controls onto the afternoon for the Bulldogs.  

  • Williamson had two goals, two ground balls and four draw controls.  

  • First-year goalkeeper, Larkin Trainor, made 13 saves and finished the game with a .684 save percentage.  

For the Foes 

  • Ella Longacre led the Knights in points with four, from two goals and two assists, she also contributed one ground ball, three draw controls and one cause turnover on the afternoon. 

  • On the defensive side, Mairead O'Connell ended the afternoon with two cause turnovers and two ground balls. 

Inside the Box Score  

  • DeSales took the 19-15 majority in ground balls and the 13-11 majority of draw controls. 

  • The Bulldogs went 16-for-21 on the clear, and also took the 26-15 majority of shots on goal.
