Madison, NJ (April 18, 2026) - The DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a MAC Freedom doubleheader at FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon.
Game One (L/1-3)
FDU took a 3-0 lead with a run in the first and two more in the second to lead 3-0.
The Bulldogs got their lone run of the game in the fourth on an RBI single from juniorÂ
Paige Hromin.
Five different players had hits in the game one loss and first-yearÂ
Brianna Bauscher took the loss allowing all three runs over two innings pitched.
Game Two (L/5-7)
The Devils led 5-0 in this one scoring once in the second, twice in the third, and twice in the fifth.
The Bulldogs showed no quit scoring four times in the sixth to get within a run as sophomoreÂ
Katie Sharkey had a bases clearing triple and juniorÂ
Abigayle Freideman laced an RBI double.
SeniorÂ
Shana Gugliandolo tied the game at five with an RBI double in the seventh but FDU got a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the inning to end the game.

Maddy Nagy each had two hits in the loss.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow when they travel to York College (PA) for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm.
