Women's Lacrosse Earns Dominant, 20-5, Win Over FDU-Florham

CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 22, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's lacrosse team dominated the FDU-Florham Red Devils 20-5 in the final MAC Freedom regular season home contest. The Bulldogs can earn the number one seed in the MAC Freedom playoffs with a win against Stevens, if the Bulldogs lose to Stevens, they will be the two seed.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: DeSales – 20, FDU-Florham – 5 

  • Records: DeSales (12-4 overall, 6-0 MAC Freedom) FDU-Florham (6-7 overall, 2-4 MAC Freedom) 

How it Happens  

  • One minute later on a Red Devils clear attempt, senior Emma Williamson caused a turnover, that allowed DeSales to clear the ball and lead to a Danielle Sieja goal, assisted by Olivia Costa. DeSales added another from senior Bridey Lawler, just one minute later, to give the Bulldogs a three-goal lead.  

  • FDU-Florham cut into the lead, after a goal of their own five minutes into the first. They added a second to the board just two minutes later, to cut the DeSales lead to just one.  

  • To end the first period, the Bulldogs went on an unanswered four goal scoring streak. Costa, Hailey Linebaugh, and DiGuglielmo contributed goals to end the first, 7-2.  

  • The Bulldogs started out the second strong, the Red Devils won the draw, but Sieja immediately caused a turnover and was able to take the ball down the field, and allow a goal from Emma Williamson, assisted by DiGuglielmo.  

  • Right after the first goal of the second, first-year Costa was able to score goal number nine of the night, off an assist from Linebaugh,  

  • FDU-Florham started to fight back, and added another to the board, before the Bulldogs went on a six-goal run, heading into the half 15-3.  

  • DeSales defense held incredibly strong the entire third period, holding the Red Devils to no goals the entire period.  

  • The Bulldogs added three more to the third period, including an unassisted goal from Sieja, the second from Marissa Kozak, assisted by Sieja and a man-up goal from Brynn Nemeth, ending the period 18-3.  

  • FDU-Florham added two more in the fourth, but the Bulldogs stayed strong and added two more of their own to capture the 20-5 victory.  

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • DiGuglielmo led the team in points with eight from one goal and seven assists, right behind her was Costa who ended the evening with six points from six goals.  

  • Sieja had an incredibly strong game, ending the evenin with five points from three goals and two assists. She also ended the evening with four draw controls, three cause turnovers and three ground balls.  

  • Mulroony was dominant on the draw, ending the evening with eight draw controls. She also contributed two goals and one assist for three points and added one cause turnover for the Bulldogs.  

For the Foes  

  • Goalkeeper Alison Kozik ended the evening with 15 saves on the game.  

  • Juliana Medina led the team in points with four from two goals and two assists, she also contributed two cause turnovers and one draw control.  

Up Next  

  • The Bulldogs will end the MAC Freedom regular season at Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon.
