Northampton, PA (September 1, 2026) - The DeSales University golf team opened its 2026 Fall season with a 312 to tie for 10th place at the Northampton Cup on Tuesday afternoon.
JuniorÂ
Peter McGinley and sophomoreÂ
Matthew Smith tied for the team lead with matching 78's (6-over). McGinley had birdies on holes #2 and 10 along with eight pars, while Smith also birdied #2 and also #11 to go along with nine pars on his round.
First-yearÂ
Isaac Mattern made his collegiate debut with a 7-over 79 making an eagle on the par 5 7th and a birdie on #17 in addition to eight pars.
SeniorÂ
Quincy Brunner and first-yearÂ
Mason Rush rounded out the day with matching 86's.
DeSales is back in action on September 11-12th at the Berkleigh Challenge.
