Abboud and Sullivan Score in Men's Soccer 2-1 Win at Stockton

Galloway, NJ (September 12, 2026) - The DeSales University men's soccer team won its second straight, 2-1, at Stockton University in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

  • Final Score: DeSales - 2, Stockton - 1
  • Records: DeSales (3-1); Stockton (0-3-2)
  • This was the 17th meeting between the two teams as the Bulldogs got its third win the series with the Ospreys, the first since the 1992 season.
How it Happened
  • DSU got on the board just 1:56 into the game when sophomore Osmar Ferre made a terrific hustle play, gaining control of the ball deep on a slide tackle and found junior Larry Sullivan in the middle of the box for the game's first goal.
  • Stockton tied the game in the 14th minute and that score stood into the half.
  • The Bulldogs needed just 2:55 into the second-half to reclaim the lead when first-year Jonathan Abboud scored off a free kick play in the box.

  • Sullivan and Abboud each scored their second goals of the season.
  • Ferre, junior Mike McCurry, and sophomore Ben Knouse each earned assists on the win.
  • Junior Colin Hojnowski made two saves in goal.
