CAMDEN, NJ (Sept. 19, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's soccer team tied Rutgers-Camden 1-1, in Saturday afternoon, non-conference action.
The Basics
This is the second meeting between the Scarlet Raptors and the Bulldogs. The first competition between the two teams took place in 2019 in Camden, NJ where DeSales won.
How it Happened
During the first-half of play, both teams went back and forth, the Bulldogs had an excellent defensive presence, not allowing the Scarlet Raptors to score in the first 45 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the second half, first-year Caradyn McGinley found the upper right corner of the net to get the Bulldogs on the board. Just eleven minutes before the end of play, Rutgers-Camden found the back of the Bulldogs net to bring the competition to a tie. The Bulldogs continued to push in the last ten minutes of the game, to ensure that the Scarlet Raptors did not add another to the board, ending the match up 1-1.
Top Bulldog Performers
Goalkeeper Campbell Pacheco ended the afternoon with three saves for the Bulldogs. Midfielders, Catherine Crampton and Tallia Hill both played a strong 90-minutes for DeSales.
For the Foes
Brianne Reeves led her team in shots (3) and shots on goal (2), tallying the sole goal for the Scarlet Raptors.
