CENTER VALLEY, PA (Sept. 2, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's soccer team beat the Bryn Mawr College Owls, 3-1, in their season opener, at home on Wednesday afternoon.

Right in the beginning of the second half, the Bulldogs were able to capitalize off of a free kick, senior, Catherine Crampton sent the ball over to first-year Kelsey Bedics, who targeted the left corner of the net, above the goalkeeper's head, for her first collegiate goal.

The Bulldogs second goal of the evening came just 12 minutes later, after senior Kayla Heron gained control of the ball and sent it down the field to Bedics who broke away from the other defenders, drew the goalkeeper out, and sent the ball to the back left corner of the net.

Bryn Mawr added one to the board off a corner kick, Meesha Akbar had the first touch on the ball, that goalkeeper Chloe Raby was able to save, but on the rebound, Akbar found the back of the net for the sole Owl goal of the game.

The final DeSales goal of the game occurred with just 14 minutes left on the clock, first-year Tallia Hill cleared the ball away from Owl defenders and sent it down to Caradyn McGinley, who darted past the goalkeeper who left net, and secured her first collegiate goal.
