Center Valley, PA (November 2, 2015) – DeSales University head golf coach
Jim Booros was honored last Monday at the PGA Philadelphia Section Fall meeting being named a "Playing Legend" along with 27 other Philadelphia PGA golfing legends.
The Philadelphia section resurrected the Playing Legends honors last Monday in conjunction with the Section's Hall of Fame to honor golf professionals who have made an impact through their outstanding tournament play. The Section will alternate between inducting new Hall of Fame and Playing Legends members on a yearly basis.
Originally started in 1991 when 16 Playing Legends were honored, the Section honored 27 more members on Monday as Playing Legends including Booros.
Booros is entering his seventh season as the head golf coach with the Bulldogs. He played on the PGA tour for nine years between 1977 and 1991 participating in 265 events including four US Open Championships and one PGA Championship. Booros recorded five top-10 finishes and won the 1989 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic the year before it became an official PGA Tour event.
