Bulldogs Fall to Virginia Wesleyan, 11-2

Junior Donald Clemens scored one of the two goals on Wednesday at Virginia Wesleyan.

Virginia Beach, VA (March 10, 2010) – For the second straight game the second and third periods haunted the DeSales University men's lacrosse team as they were out-scored 7-0 thru those two quarters en route to an 11-2 loss at Virginia Wesleyan University on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs fall to 1-2 overall on the season, while VWC improves to 4-2 overall. Scoring goals for the Bulldogs were sophomore Michael Bassani (Califon, NY/Voorhees) and junior Donald Clemens (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin). Senior Kevin Walker (Wilmington, DE/Salesianum) won 6-of-15 face-offs and picked up a team-high six ground balls and freshman Jacob Nyenhuis (Ada, MI/Forest Hills Eastern) made 20 saves in the net.

The Bulldogs won't return to action for another week when they continue on the road at Immaculata University in a non-conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
