Center Valley, PA (January 12, 2013) – Junior Paul Pammer tossed in a game-high 22 points, 17 in the first-half, terrorizing Delaware Valley College and leading the DeSales University men's basketball team to a 69-63 win over the Aggies keeping the Bulldogs unbeaten in Freedom Conference play on Saturday afternoon in Billera Hall.

The Aggies had no answer for Pammer, despite DVC's head coach, Casey Stitzel, repeatedly screaming Pammer's name after each basket he scored presumably looking for someone to find a way to stop him.  He scored 17 of his 22 points in the first-half single-handedly keeping the Bulldogs close and allowing DSU to finish the half scoring 8 of the last 12 points, taking a 29-27 lead into the locker room.

The game remained close nine minutes into the second half when the Bulldogs took control using a 17-2 run turning a four-point deficit into an 11-point lead (56-45) with 5:43 left to play.  Pammer started the run with a lay-up tying the game at 43 and handed out a gorgeous assist to junior Andrew Kohler on the next possession as six different Bulldogs scored during the spurt.

DSU's lead was still 11 with just 1:38 on the clock when the Aggies put together a frenetic comeback, hitting shot after shot coupled with a few Bulldog miscues.  DVC never did a get chance to tie the game and after trimming the lead to four with 27 ticks left missed three consecutive lay-ups and sophomore Michael Guldin iced the game hitting 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch, including two with six seconds left providing the final tally.

Pammer shot 9-for-14 from the field and also pulled down seven rebounds, while not committing a turnover in 29 minutes of action.  Senior Brett Moyer recorded his eighth double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds and Guldin finished with 11 points and four assists in the win.  Junior Mike Coleman added nine points, all of which came in the second-half.

Senior Jeremy Beckett totaled 15 points and nine boards, Daulton Derr had 13 points, and Nick Sullivan came off the bench to score 12 points to lead the Aggies.

The Bulldogs dominated the glass, out-rebounding DVC, 42-25, and out-scored the Aggies, 32-12, in the paint.  DeSales also continued its terrific shooting at the free throw line, converting 20-of-24 (83.3 percent) for the game.

The Bulldogs get a well-deserved few days off now before returning to action on Wednesday, January 16th when they clash with the only other undefeated team in the Freedom Conference, Misericordia University, beginning at 8:00 pm.
