Box Score
Aston, PA (March 14, 2013) – Sophomore Ryan Rowse and junior Chalie Wilmer combined to score 10 goals and the DeSales University men's lacrosse team scored five straight goals and seven of eight over the final four minutes of the second quarter to the start of the fourth quarter to take an 11-7 lead and held off a late Knight rally recording a 12-10 win in non-conference action on Thursday evening.

DSU trailed 6-4 after three straight Neumann goals with 6:42 left in the second quarter when Wilmer and Rowse scored 25 seconds apart to end the second quarter with the game tied at six at the break.

The streak continued in the third quarter when the Bulldogs out-scored Neumann, 4-1, and senior Josh Martin added a goal 51 seconds into the fourth quarter to give DSU seven of the last eight goals scored in the game and an 11-7 lead.  Neumann pulled to within two with 6:43 to play, but the DSU defense held tight the rest of the way in recording the win.

Rowse and Wilmer were unstoppable on Thursday with Rowse leading the attack with five goals and two assists and Wilmer adding five tallies and one assist.  Senior James Guerrier totaled one goal and one assist, equaling Martin's stat line and senior Jarrod Wiedow had one assist in the win.

Senior Brennan Gmeiner was outstanding once again in the face-off circle winning 19-of-24 face-offs and picking up a game and season-high 18 ground balls, which was just two shy of tying the single-game record of 20.  Freshman Matt Warnken made 12 save in between the pipes.

The Bulldogs waste no time returning to action on Saturday when they host Immaculata University in a non-conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
