Center Valley, PA (May 2, 2013) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team makes its second appearance in the post-season tonight when the Bulldogs travel to Misericordia University for the Freedom Conference playoffs as the third seed taking on the second seeded Cougars beginning at 7:00 pm.

For those unable to attend you will be able to follow all the action via Live Stats and/or Live Video.

DSU is making just its second career appearance in the Conference post-season with the first coming back in 2009 which resulted in a 9-2 loss at Elizabethtown College in the opening round.  The Bulldogs earned the #3 seed this season finishing in a three-way tie for second place with Misericordia and King's College, earning the tiebreaker over King's but not the Cougars to finish as the third seed.  DSU enters with an 8-7 overall record, representing a school-record for wins in a season, and a 4-2 mark in the Freedom Conference.

Since dropping an 8-1 decision to Misericordia, the Bulldogs have been playing their best lacrosse this season, winning three straight to close out the regular season in which they have not allowed more than nine goals in a game and scored 20+ twice.

DSU has had a very balanced scoring attack all season with four different players totaling 20+ goals and six recording at least 16 goals.  Those same six players all have 20+ points on the season.

Leading the group is junior James Guerrier with a team-high 46 points on 24 goals and 22 assists.  Sophomore Ryan Rowse has a team-high 27 goals and adds 15 assists for 42 points, while sophomore Ryan Loughlin with 25 goals and 13 assists (38 points) and senior Jarrod Wiedow with 24 goals and 10 assists (34 points) round out the top four.

Junior Chalie Wilmer missed five games due to a mid-season injury but still ranks fifth on the team in scoring with 16 goals and 10 assists for 26 points.  Sophomore Lance Bracale rounds out the leaders with 16 goals and seven assists for 23 points.

Senior Brennan Gmeiner has dominated the face-off circle all season winning 72.0 percent of his face-offs and picking up 155 ground balls.  His totals rank him sixth in the country in both ground balls per game and face-off winning percentage entering the week.
