Center Valley, PA, (November 6, 2015) – The second seeded DeSales University women's soccer team will play for a MAC Freedom Championship for the second straight season at home on Saturday when the Bulldogs host fourth seeded Wilkes University at 1:00 pm.
The Bulldogs will enter the game with a 13-5 overall record after a 6-1 mark in the MAC Freedom earning the second seed and defeating King's, 3-1, in the semifinal round. Wilkes enters the game with a 6-10-3 mark and a 3-3-1 record in the MAC Freedom earning the fourth seed. The Colonels upset top seeded Misericordia, 5-3 in penalty kicks, after the two teams played to a scoreless tie also on Tuesday to advance to the title game.
There will be admission for the event with ticket prices set at $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for senior citizens, and $2.00 for students. All DeSales students with a valid school ID will be admitted for FREE. All children under the age of six will also be admitted for free.

DeSales/Wilkes All-Time Series:Wilkes owns a 16-3-1 lead in the all-time series although the Bulldogs have won two straight in the series including a 4-1 win this season in the regular season matchup…DSU is 1-11 vs. the Colonels at home and Saturday's meeting will be the second meeting in the MAC Freedom Tournament with the first coming in 2008, a 2-1 Wilkes win.
Regular Season Meeting:Junior
Rachel Shive tied the single-game record scoring four goals, three in the second-half, as the Bulldogs defeated Wilkes, 4-1…DSU held an 18-11 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks in the game. The game was tied at one at the half before Shive scored three goals in the span of 15 minutes in the second-half to provide the difference.
DeSales in the MAC Freedom postseason:This is DeSales' fifth appearance in the conference postseason and its second straight spot in the MAC Freedom championship game. The Bulldogs are 2-4 all-time in the MAC Freedom tournament. This is the first time DSU has made consecutive appearances in the conference postseason in its history.
