Annville, PA (February 21, 2019) - Sophomore Matt Kachelries was named to the All-MAC Freedom First-Team highlighting three DeSales University men's basketball players named All-Conference as announced by the conference office on Friday and as voted on by the eight MAC Freedom coaches.

Kachelries was the lone Bulldog to earn First-Team honors, while senior Luke Connaghan and junior Tracy Simsick each earned Second-Team honors.

Kachelries is making his first appearance on the All-Conference team and is averaging 11.6 points per game and leads the MAC Freedom averaging 6.2 assists per game.  He is also second on the team in rebounding (6.1 RPG) and leads the Bulldogs with four double-doubles on the season.

Connaghan is also making his first appearance on the All-Conference team ranking second on the team averaging 12.8 points per game and leading the Bulldogs in rebounding (6/5 RPG).  He is ninth in the MAC Freedom in rebounding and fifth in field goal percentage (.536).

Simsick earns Second-Team honors for the second straight year.  He is leading the team and ranks seventh in the MAC Freedom in scoring at 15.2 points per game.  Simsick is also ranked sixth in the MAC Freedom in three-pointers made (56) and 3-point shooting percentage (.361).
