Center Valley, PA (December 14, 2021) - The DeSales University men's basketball team moved up one spot to #24 in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 National Poll released on Monday evening.
The Bulldogs had spent the last two weeks ranked #25 and move up to #24 and now total 71 points, just four points shy of #23 Maryville and eight points shy of #22 Heidelberg.
DeSales is off to the best start in school history opening the season 10-0, surpassing the previous best start of 9-0 during the 2008-09 season. DSU is off this week for final exams and will return to action on Monday when they travel cross town to take on Muhlenberg College beginning at 5:00 pm.
The Bulldogs have counted on a balanced attack all season with five players averaging nearly nine points per game. SeniorÂ
Dat Lambert leads the way at 10.5 points per game and sophomoreÂ
Elijah Eberly also averages double digits at 10.1 points per game. JuniorÂ
Jordan Holmqvist is third in scoring at 9.6 PPG, while seniorÂ
Matt Kachelries is just behind Holmqvist at 9.4 points per game and sophomoreÂ
Mason Barnes is depositing 8.8 tallies per contest.
