Joey Wilson were each honored on Thursday morning being named to the women's and men's cross country Academic All-MAC Team as announced by the conference office.
The Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2024 season. The team consists of 11 student-athletes from both the MAC Freedom and MAC Commonwealth teams voted on and selected by the Sports Information Directors of the MAC schools highlighting each student-athletes academic and athletic credentials. To be eligible you must have a 3.2 GPA for the 2024 fall semester.
Estus, a homeland security major had a perfect 4.0 GPA this past fall semester, earns Academic All-MAC honors for the first time in her career. She earned All-MAC First-Team honors with a 10th place finish posting a time of 23:31.6. Estus was also named to the USTFCCA All-Academic team this season.
Kozich, a medical studies major also had a perfect 4.0 GPA this past fall semester, earns Academic All-MAC honors in her first year with the Bulldogs. She adds this honor to MAC Rookie of the Year and All-MAC First-Team after finishing third overall posting a time of 22:47.4 in the MAC championships. It marked the fourth time in program history that a Bulldog earned MAC Rookie of the Year. Kozich was also named to USTFCCA All-Academic team this season.
Wilson, a sports management major finished with 3.94 GPA this past fall semester, earning Academic All-MAC for the first time in his career. Wilson earned All-MAC First-Team honors with a 10th place finish in a time of 27:03.2 at the MAC Championships this season.
