Men’s Cross-Country Team Kicks off 2025 Season at Lehigh

Bethlehem, PA (August 29, 2025) - The DeSales University men's cross country team launched their 2025 season at the annual Lehigh Invitational on Friday evening.

Unlike the traditional 8k format, this meet features a 6k race for the men's team. DeSales faced tough competition, facing four Division I schools. The Bulldog's put on a strong showing for their season opener, with most runners setting personal bests or running fast times.
 
Leading the team was junior Joey Wilson, who placed 26th overall, with a personal record time of 18:48.2. Junior Jozef Callano placed 33rd overall, with a personal record time of 18:58.7.
 
Sophomore Bryce Phillips finished 59th overall, with a final time of 20:07.6. First-year Alden Twist made his debut, taking 62nd place overall, with a time of 20:21.9. Senior James Cook took 66th place overall, with a personal record time of 20:31.8. First-year Dylan Mariconda debut earning  71st place overall, with a time of 20:50.2. First-year Ryan Durkin also made his debut, finishing 74th place with a time of 20:56.6.
 
Sophomore James Viglanti placed 76th overall with a time of 21:04.4. Sophomore Alex Porambo earned 78th overall, with a personal record time of 21:08.0. First-year Brady Snyder placed 79th, with a debuting time of 21:08.7. Junior Dylan Doskocil finished 80th overall, with a time of 21:15.3. Junior Andrew Sidorski placed 81st overall, with a time of 21:22.1. Sophomore Jordan Smith finished in 83rd place, with a time of 21:29.6.
 
First-year Jack Tavani made his debut taking 88th place overall, with a time of 22.33.5. First-year Noah Zimmerman also debuted today finishing in 89th place, with a time of 22.35.1. Senior John Murphy earned 91st place overall, with a time of 22.41.7. First-year Joey DeAngelis placed 94th overall, debuting with a time of 24.38.2.
 
On Saturday 13th, the Bulldog's will be back in action at Kutztown University for the Division II/III Challenge.
