Joey Wilson were each named USTFCCCA All-Academic athletes and the DeSales University men's cross country team was also honored as an All-Academic Team as announced by the organization on Thursday.
In order to qualify as a team for All-Academic, the team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. DeSales qualified with a 3.31 GPA.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction as an individual, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
Wilson placed eighth at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships and has a 3.52 cumulative GPA as a sport management major and Phillips took 23rd at the Regional Championships and has a 3.82 cumulative GPA as a biology major.
