Reading, PA (February 28, 2026) - Sophomores
Kay Wiscount and
Brooke Signorella each broke two school-records leading the DeSales University women's track & field team to a fifth place finish at the MAC Indoor Championships hosted by Alvernia University on Friday and Saturday.
The fifth place finish is DSU's best finish since the 2017 MAC Indoor Championships.
Wiscount broke the school-record in both the 400 and 800 meters. She finished with a time of 59.64 in the 400-meters to place fifth and 2:16.34 in the 800-meters for a first place finish and qualify for the AARFTC Championships in both events.
Signorella broke the school-record in both the long jump and triple jump with marks of 5.48m (LJ) and 11.41m (TJ) placing first and second in the two events and also qualfying for the AARTFC Championships in both events. She also posted a seventh place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.11 seconds.
Sophomore
Ellie Kozich had an equally impressive day taking first in the 5K (17:12.98), the second best time in team history, and third in the 3K (10:06.41), the third best time in team history. She also qualfied for the AARTFC Championships in both events and broke a MAC Championship record in the 5K.
Other top finishers included first-year
Emily Hoysan taking third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.40 seconds, second fastest in school-history and fellow first-year
Megan Fornwalt taking eighth in the 400-meters (1:02.00). Junior
Catherine Crampton was fifth in the triple jump (10.68m).
The 4x800 meter relay featuring four first-year students in
Hannah Miller, Emily Harrington, Danielle Boland, and
Angela Crowley placed seventh in a time of 10:26.14 and the DMR relay was eighth with a time of 13:32.95 featuring Crowley, first-year
Mariana Castilla, Boland, and Miller.
The Bulldogs are back in action at the AARTFC Championships next weekend at the NY Armory.
