Sophia Manidis were all named CSC Academic All-District as announced on the organization's web site Tuesday afternoon.
Eligible nominees must be a sophomore or higher, and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while also either finishing top 50 at the cross country regional championships or ranking among the top 50 in a single track & field event during the season. Each school can nominate a maximum of six student-athletes per gender.
Kozich, a medical studies major, had a terrific season and will have a chance at earning CSC Academic All-America honors. She was fourth at the CC regional championships and placed 70th at the cross country national championships. In T&F, Kozich ranked fifth in the mile and fourth in the 5K regionally, while ranking first in the region in the 5K, later earning All-American honors in the 5K at the indoor track & field championships with a sixth place finish.
In outdoor track & field, Kozich ranked third in the 5K regionally and first regionally and 30th nationally in the 10K.
Wiscount, a medical studies major, ranked 12th in the 400-meters regionally and second regionally and 30th in the nation in the 800-meters in indoor track & field. In outdoor track & field, Wiscount ranked 17th in the 400-meters, third in the 800-meters, and 13th in the 1,500-meters regionally.
Hope, a biology education major, ranked 43rd and 39th in the long jump in indoor and outdoor track & field and 34th and 32nd regionally in the triple jump in both indoor and outdoor track & field.
Crampton, a chemistry major, was also ranked regionally in both the long and triple jump in both indoor and outdoor track & field. She was 49th and 32nd in the long jump and 15th and 13th in the triple jump.
Amoretti, a homeland security major, was ranked 41st in the shot put and 18th in the weight throw in indoor track & field, while also ranking 13th in the discus, and 12th in the hammer throw in outdoor track & field.
Manidis, a triple major in theology, spanish, and philosophy, ranked 33rd in the weight throw in indoor track & field and 32nd in the hammer throw in outdoor track & field.
