Center Valley, PA (February 6, 2026) - Seniors Will Meeker and Mackenzie Gordos of the DeSales University men's and women's basketball teams were honored on Friday being named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Association Scholar-Athlete Team.

The team honors one player on each of the 11 area small college basketball teams for academic excellence.

Meeker, a senior mathematics major, has appeared in all 20 games this season for the Bulldogs, making one start. He is averaging 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds off the bench, scoring a season-high 10 points in an earlier season win over Hunter College. Meeker has excelled recently averaging 5.8 points and hitting at least one three-pointer in each of DSU's last four games, all wins in MAC Freedom play.

Gordos, a senior sport & exercise physiology major, is a three-time member of the MAC Winter Academic Honor Roll during her time at DeSales. She has seen action in 10 games this season as one of the Bulldogs' back-up point guards. Gordos was named a co-captain at the start of the season and has been accepted and will be attending DeSales in the DPT program next year to earn her graduate degree.
