Center Valley, PA (April 11, 2026) - The DeSales University women's track & field team had several strong performances competing at its Home Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
In the track events, DSU saw MAC qualfying marks. SophomoreÂ
Ashley Carrier finished first in the 100-meters (13.51) and first-yearÂ
Emily Hoysan was fourth (13.77). Hoysan also won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.92.
In the 200-meters, first-year Megan Fornwalt bettered her MAC qualfying time with a first place finish and time of 26.46, the fifth best time in team history. Senior Lindsay Bednarek also bettered her time (26.80) as did Carrier (27.17). Hoysan qualified for the MAC Championships in the event with a time of 27.34.
Fornwalt also bettered her MAC time in the 400-meters (59.36) the fifth best time in team history and Bednarek bettered her time in the event with a 59.44.
Sophomore Kay Wiscount won the 800-meters with an MAC qualfying time of 2:15.96. First-year Emily Harrington won the steeplechase with an MAC qualfying time of 12:33.33 and first-year Amanda Witters was fourth with an MAC time of 13:31.39.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Carrier, Bednarek, junior Sarah Hope, and sophomore Brooke Signorella won the race with a time of 50.66.
Signorella won the long jump with a mark of 5.35m and broke the school-record in the triple jump with a mark of 11.82m. Junior Catherine Crampton qualfied for the MAC Championships in the long jump (4.99m) as did Hope (4.86m). Hope also qualfied in the triple jump (9.98m).Â
Sophomore Sadie Fenstermaker was second in the shot put (10.55m) and hammer throw (44.06m) and sophomore Sophia Amoretti was fifth in the hammer throw (40.07m). Junior Sophia Manidis was sixth in the hammer throw (37.50m), qualfying for the MAC Championships and first-year Daviana Jones also qualified in the javelin with a mark of 32.50m.
The Bulldogs are back in action next weekend taking part in the Paul Donahue Invitational and the Moravian University Invitational.
