Bethlehem, PA (April 26, 2026) - Sophomore
Sadie Fenstermaker took home the school-record in the hammer throw leading the DeSales University women's track & field team at the Carol and John Covert Classic in DSU's final tune-up before the MAC Championships.
DSU had several strong performances including first-year
Emily Hoysan taking third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.62 seconds to better her MAC and AARTFCC qualfying time. It is the third fastest time in team history. First-year
Megan Fornwalt placed second in the 200-meters with the second fastest time in team history, 26.08 seconds, to better her MAC qualfiying time.
In the field events, Fenstermaker had a tremendous day taking third in the discus with the third best mark in team history, 42.04m, and second in the hammer throw with a school-record mark of 47.30m. Both those performances bettered her MAC and AARTFCC qualfying marks.
In the high jump sophomore
Brooke Signorella was second at 1.55m, the second best mark in team history. Sophomore
Sophia Amoretti was ninth in the hammer throw (40.88m), bettering her MAC qualfying mark and first-year
Daviana Jones placed fifth in the javelin (35.43m), the fourth best mark in team history also bettering her MAC and AARTFCC qualfying mark.
DSU is back in action next weekend competing at the MAC Outdoor Championships at Messiah University.
