Grantham, PA (May 1, 2026) - The DeSales University women's track & field team sits in second place after the first two days at the MAC Outdoor Championships held at Messiah University on Thursday and Friday.
Among the top finishers thus far are sophomoreÂ
Ellie Kozich who took home first place in the 10K with a time of 37:30.93 on Thursday. First-yearÂ
Emily Harrington finished seventh in the steeplechase with a time of 12:19.27.
In the field events sophomoreÂ
Sadie Fenstermaker placed fourth in the hammer throw (48.11m), breaking her own school-record in the event and was second in the discus (37.85m). SophomoreÂ
Sophia Amoretti took home top finishes in both the hammer throw (6th - 42.81m) and discus (5th - 34.20m).
In the high jump sophomoreÂ
Brooke Signorella placed fourth (1.57m), tying the school-record and was first in the long jump with a mark of 5.64m.
Several Bulldogs qualified for Saturday afternoon finals including sophomoreÂ
Ashley Carrier in the 100-meters (12.92), first-yearÂ
Emily Hoysan in the 110-meter hurdles (15.20), and first-yearÂ
Megan Fornwalt in both the 200-meters (25.79) and 400-meters (59.39). SeniorÂ
Lindsay Bednarek also qualified in the 400-meters (1:00.77) and sophomoreÂ
Kay Wiscount in the 800-meters (2:17.27).
The 4x100 meter relay team also qualified for the Saturday finals with a time of 49.45.Â
