Baseball Named Regional Host; Faces Ramapo in First Game of NCAA Regional

Indianapolis, IN (May 11, 2026) - The DeSales University baseball team will be hosting one of 16 NCAA Regionals this upcoming weekend as announced by the NCAA on Monday morning in the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament.

The DeSales regional will feature the Bulldogs (33-12) taking on Ramapo College (29-12) and Salve Regina (36-6) competing against Marymount University (VA) (27-17) on Friday. The double elimination tournament will continue on Saturday with the last two teams left after Saturday, competing on Sunday to crown a weekend champion that will move onto the Super Regional round.

This will be DSU's 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the first since the 2008 season.  DSU owns a 12-18 record in the NCAA Tournament, winning a regional championship in 2003, and advancing to the College World Series one time (2003).

Head coach Bryan Torresani is in his first year with the Bulldogs, but his 11th overall after also coaching at Immaculata University and Arcadia University, prior to his arrival with the Bulldogs.  He made four trips to the NCAA Tournament with Arcadia University and his staff was named the MAC Freedom Coaching Staff of the Year this. season.

The Bulldogs will be led by a host of players that were named to the All-MAC Freedom Team on Monday.  Seniors JT Anderosky and Mike Hooker were named the MAC Freedom Player, Defensive Player, and Pitcher of the Year on Monday, while graduate student Owen Fischl and sophomore Jacob Rivera were also named to the All-MAC Freedom First-Team. Sophomore Joe Ficoturo, junior Alex Crudder, and first-year students Dominic Berretta and Kevin Brace were named to the Second-Team. Senior John Rorick earned Honorable-Mention honors.

Click here to view the full 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Field of 64. The first weekend will be 16 four-team regionals, with those 16 winners advanving to Super Regionals that will be eight best-of-3 series, with those eight winners advancing to the College World Series in East Lake, OH.
