Morgan Benner were each honored on Tuesday being named to the CSC Academic All-District Softball Team as announced by the College Sports Communicators.
To be eligible for this honor you must be a sophomore or higher, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater, and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or
must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or
pitched 35 innings.
Hromin, a double major in biochemistry and molecular biology, earns the honor for the second straight season. She was also named to the All-MAC Freedom Second-Team this season. Hromin finished the 2026 season batting .313 with team-highs in runs scored (22) and hits (30) and as the only player to play and start all 37 games. Hromin stole four bases, added 14 RBIs, and posted a .412 on-base percentage, while making just five errors at third base in 112 chances for a .955 fielding percentage.
Benner, an early childhood education major, earns CSC honors for the second time in her career. She finished the season batting .257 with a .382 on-base percentage. Benner totaled 19 hits with 15 runs scored and had a .935 fielding percentage at shortstop.
