Center Valley, PA, (November 4, 2014) – The DeSales University field hockey team will begin post-season play on Wednesday as the #3 seeded Bulldogs travel to #2 Misericordia University in the semifinals of the Freedom Conference Tournament beginning at 4:30 pm.
The Bulldogs will enter the post-season with an 11-7 overall record and a 5-2 mark in the Freedom Conference. DSU finished tied for second with Misericordia University with the Cougars earning the #2 seed based on head-to-head result during the regular season. MU is 12-7 overall and 5-2 in the Freedom Conference.
There will be admission for the event with ticket prices set at $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for senior citizens, and $2.00 for students with valid school ID. All children under the age of six will also be admitted for free.

DeSales/Misericordia All-Time Series:Misericordia owns a 4-3 lead in the all-time series between the two teams after its win this season…DSU is 0-3 all-time at Misericordia…this will be the first-ever post-season meeting between the two teams.
Regular Season Meeting: Box Score - RecapMisericordia broke open a tie game at one in the 54
th minute scoring three times in a span of just over seven minutes to earn a 4-1 win. DeSales did hold a 16-13 edge in shots, however the Cougars had an 11-7 advantage in shots on goal. DSU also had a 13-7 edge in penalty corners. Junior
