Annville, PA (March 1, 2022) - Senior Averi Jordan, sophomore Mikaela Reese, and junior Megan Bealer were all honored on the All-MAC Freedom team with Jordan and Reese taking home Player of the Year honors and head coach Fred Richter earning MAC Freedom Coach of the Year honors as voted on by the nine MAC Freedom coaches and as annoucned by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

Jordan and Reese are both named to the First-Team, while Jordan is named the Player of the Year and Reese is named the Defensive Player of the Year.  Bealer is named to the Second-Team.

Jordan leads DeSales in both scoring (18.3 PPG) and rebounding (8.7 RPG) while also ranking third in the MAC Freedom in scoring and second in rebounding.  Jordan has nine double-doubles on the year and is making her fourth consecutive appearance on the All-Conference Team and third straight on the First-Team.  She has now been named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year two consecutive years.

Reese earns All-Conference honors for the second straight year after being named to the Second-Team and the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year last season.  She is seventh in the MAC Freedom in scoring (14.6 PPG), third in rebounding (8.0 RPG), and leads the conference in blocked shots with 48 (2.3 BPG).  Reese has eight double-doubles on the season and is the second Bulldog to earn Defensive Player of the Year award honors after Samantha Shinkus took home the award in 2019.

Bealer earns All-Conference honors for the first time in her career ranking 10th in scoring (11.0 PPG), 12th in rebounding (6.7 RPG), and fifth in steals (2.2 SPG).

Richter earns Coach of the Year honors for the ninth time in his career and the fifth time in the MAC Freedom.  He guided DSU to its 10th MAC/MAC Freedom Championship and to its 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament under his guidance.  DeSales has won 20+ games for the 17th time under Richter.
