Center Valley, PA ( October 2, 2024) - The DeSales University Overwatch 2 team played against the University of Kansas dropping a 3-0 decision in the second match of the young season.

The teams competed in a best-of-5 format, with the first to secure three games winning. DeSales' roster included Micheal Torres (M9K3), Nick Principato (Novic), Jacob Godlewski (L33F), Christopher O'Brien (OBCana), and Eli Romero (Mando). University of Kansas' roster included Heypally, VYP, Goldy, Luckykevin11, and FakeAlfie. 

GAME 1: 
The first map DeSales played on was New Queen Street. DeSales utilized a team comp with Tracer (Novic), Baptiste (Mando), Ashe (OBCana), Juno (L33F), and Orisa (M9K3). University of Kansas' comp included Juno (Heypally), D.Va (VYP), Brigitte (Goldy), Sombra (Luckykevin11), and Cassidy (FakeAlfie). The game was quite close until the 2-minute mark, when University of Kansas pushed ahead with extremely strong hitscan presence. The game ended in a win for University of Kansas. DeSales was able to push the robot 71.23 meters.

GAME 2: 
DeSales and University of Kansas faced off next on the second map: King's Row. DeSales' comp shifted slightly with M9K3 on Doomfist, OBCana on Widowmaker, and Novic on Echo. University of Kansas also altered their comp, putting FakeAlfie on Ashe, VYP on Ramattra, and LuckyKevin11 on Mei. 

On the attack, DeSales was able to capture the objective and push the payload fully for 3 points. University of Kansas also fully pushed the point on defense. The game ended in overtime, with DeSales just barely losing. This placed the score at University of Kansas 2, DeSales University 0. It was an extremely close match, with strong cohesion and communication from DeSales. 

GAME 3: 
The final game took place in Lijiang Tower. DeSales changed their comp, putting Novic on Symmetra. University of Kansas' Luckykevin11 also swapped to Symmetra. University of Kansas quickly pulled ahead with a strong lead and secured the objective twice, leaving them the winners with a final score of 3:0.
