Alanna Hartzell were all named to the Academic All-District Team as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the College Sports Communicators.
To be eligible for this honor you must be a sophomore or higher, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater, and have played in 90% or started in 66% of the institution's contests and for softball pitchers must have appeared in 17 games or pitched 25+ innings during the season.
Kenney and Hartzell make their second appearance on the Academic All-District team, while Benner and Lawless appear for the first time.
Benner is an early childhood education major carrying a 3.82 cumulative GPA. She earned All-MAC Freedom Second-Team honors this season batting a team-best .357 with 40 hits and 26 runs scored.
Kenney is a biology major carrying a 3.98 cumulative GPA. She earned Honorable-Mention All-MAC Freedom honors batting .339 with 42 hits, nine doubles, four home runs, and 32 RBIs.
Hartzell is a double major in marketing and data analytics carrying a 3.65 cumulative GPA. She finished the year with a 8-5 record and a 1.79 ERA. Hartzell totaled six complete-games and had two saves, striking out 45 in 90 innings pitched.
Lawless is a communication sciences and disorders major with a 3.66 cumulative GPA. She was 2-2 with a 1.64 ERA totaling one save. Lawless finished the year with 25 2/3 innings pitched, striking out 20.
