Ithaca, NY (Februray 22, 2025) - The distance medley relay posted an AARTFC qualfying time leading the way as the DeSales University women's track & field team competed at the Marc Deneault Invitational on Saturday.

The DMR consisted of senior Haley Estus, sophmore Avery Peluszak, and first-years Kay Wiscount and Ellie Kozich in taking first place at the meet in a MAC and AARTFC qualfying time of 12:50.88.

Other top performers were first-year Brooke Signorella (8.09), senior Emma Ribeiro (8.19), and senior Melissa Peller (8.38) all bettering their 60-meter dash MAC qualfying times.  Peller also bettered her MAC time in the 200-meters running a 28.27.

Peluszak bettered her MAC time in the 400-meters with a fifth place finish in a time of 1:02.43 and Wiscount posted an AARTFC qualfying time of 2:22.62 in the 800-meters, taking third place.

In the long jump, Peller palced fifth and sophomore Catherine Crampton was sixth, while Signorella posted a season-best mark of 4.86m and a season-best in the triple jump as well (10.56m) taking sixth.

First-year Theresa Burghart also bettered her MAC mark in the weight throw, throwing 9.33m on Saturday.

DeSales is back in action next weekend competing at the MAC Indoor Championships hosted by Alvernia University.
