Galloway, NJ (March 22, 2025) - The DeSales University men's track & field team opened up its outdoor season competing at the Stockton Invite on Saturday afternoon.

On the track in the 100, junior Tyler McCulloch placed 11^th overall with a time of 11.27. Tyler's time earned him the MAC qualifying standard for the 100 meter run. First-year Jack Jacobson took 16^th place overall, with a time of 11.47. Senior Sam Estherson finished in 18^th place with a time of 11.50. Sophomore Javell McMichael finished in 35^th place, earning a personal record of 12.04.
 
In the 200 taking 6^th place, was junior Tyler McCulloch who finished with an overall time of 22.97. Senior Sam Estherson took 9^th place overall with a personal record time of 23.04. Both Tyler's and Sam's time earned them the MAC qualifying standard for the 200 meter run. First-year Jack Jacobson placed 24^th overall, with a personal record time of 23.76.
 
For the 400, sophomore Bryce Guthier finished in 14^th place overall, with a time personal record of 52.40. Bryce's time earns him the MAC qualifying standard for the 400 meter run. Taking 17^th place was first-year Cooper Stutz, who finished with a final time of 52.88.
 
In the 800 senior Tim Connell took 12^th place overall with a time of 2:06.88. Senior John Murphy finished in 32^nd overall, with a final time of 2:17.62. Junior James Cook placed 36^th overall, with a time of 2:21.32. First-year Michael Arculeo finished in 40^th overall, with a personal record time of 2:25.23.
 
For the 1500 stealing 1^st place overall, sophomore Jozef Callano finished with a final time of 4:02.49. Taking 3^rd place overall, sophomore Joey Wilson finished with a time of 4:05.05. Both Joey and Jozef's time earned them the MAC qualifying standard for the 1500 meter run. First-year Alex Porambo placed 14^th overall with a time of 4:26.23. Sophomore Dylan Doskocil finished in 21^st place overall, with a time of 4:29.35. Junior Jordan Gallo took 29^th place overall, with a time of 4:41.47.
 
In the 300 taking 2^nd place overall was senior Dean Ricco with a personal record time of 8:58.97. First-year James Viglianti took 8^th place overall, with a time of 9:34.15. Senior Cody Smith took 9^th place with a final time of 9:36.26. First-year Brian Samayoa finished in 15^th place overall, with a time of 10:30.42.
 
In the discus, senior Jacob Schaeffer took 5^th place with a personal record throw of 41.12 meters. Placing in 10^th place junior Giovanni Wellington earned a personal record throw of 36.93 meters. Senior Nick Chinn took 12^th place overall, with a throw of 36.08 meters. Jacob, Giovanni and Nick all earned the MAC qualifying standard for the discus throw.
 
For the hammer throw taking 5^th place overall, was junior Jonathan Eudja with a throw of 43.18 meters. Junior Giovanni Wellington finished in 8^th place overall, with a personal record throw of 40.50 meters. Both Jonathan and Giovanni earned the MAC qualifying standard for the hammer throw.
 
In the high jump finishing in 6^th place overall was junior Brian Whitney, with a personal record jump of 1.81 meters. Brian's jump also earned him the Mac qualifying standard for the high jump.
 
For the Javelin throw, taking 2^nd place overall was junior Dane Watson with a throw of 50.16 meters. Stealing 3^rd place was first-year Preston De Grazia with a throw of 47.50 meters. Both Dane and Preston earned the MAC qualifying standard for the javelin throw. Sophomore Kaden Issa took 7^th place overall with a throw of 41.58 meters. Junior Peter Skulski placed in 8^th overall with a throw of 41.22 meters.
 
In the Long Jump, sophomore Jonathan Castronovo took 7^th place overall with a jump of 6.26 meters. Jonathan's jump earned him the MAC qualifying standard for the long jump. Finishing in 19^th overall was sophomore Lens Demosthene with a jump of 5.64 meters. Sophomore Javell McMichael placed 20^th overall with a jump of 5.62 meters.
 
For the shot put, placing in 10^th overall was senior Jacob Schaeffer with a throw of 13.15 meters. Jacob's throw earned him the MAC qualifying standard for the shot put. Senior Nick Chinn placed 19^th overall with a throw of 11.46 meters.
 
In the triple jump, sophomore Jonathan Castronovo took 5^th place overall with a jump of 13.00 meters. Jonathan's jump earned him the MAC qualifying standard for the triple jump. Junior Peter Skulski placed 13^th overall with a jump of 11.65 meters.
 
Closing out the meet with the 4x400 relay was DeSales relay team "B" who took 6^th place overall and consisted of Alex, Joey, Tim, and James. They finished with a final time of 3:32.87. DeSales relay team "A" took 11^th place and consisted of Tyler, Bryce, Cooper, and Jozef. They finished with an overall time of 3:52.18.
 
Next weekend, on both Friday night March 28^th and Saturday March 29^th, the Bulldogs will be competing at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University.
