Men’s Track & Field Competes at Danny Curran Invitational

Chester, PA (March 27-28, 2026) - The DeSales University men's track & field team competed at the 24th annual Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University on Friday and Saturday.

Starting on the track Friday evening in the 5,000-meter was sophomore Jordan Smith, who placed 113th with a time of 16:51.36.
 
Heading into the 10,000-meter, junior Joey Wilson earned 2nd place, running a final time of 30:47.83. His time also earned him the MAC qualifying standard for outdoors in the 10k and ranks him 2nd in DeSales school history for the 10k. Sophomore Bryce Phillips placed 25th overall in a personal best of 33:09.72. First-year Alden Twist finished 28th in 33:15.94. Sophomore James Viglianti crossed the line in 33:26.14, placing 33rd. Senior James Cook placed 35th with a time of 33:42.53. Phillips, Twist, Viglianti, and Cook all earned the MAC qualifying standard for the 10k outdoors. First-year Noah Zimmerman finished 48th in 34:43.51.
 
Beginning the track events for Saturday in the 1,500-meter was junior Jozef Callano, who earned 3rd place in 3:58.93. Jozef's time also earned him the MAC qualifying standard for outdoors and places him 5th all-time in DeSales outdoor history for the 1,500. Senior Davis Trump finished 45th in 4:15.14. Sophomore Alex Porambo placed 71st with a personal best of 4:24.26. Senior Jordan Gallo ran a season best of 4:33.48, placing 91st overall. First-year Jack Tavani crossed the finish line in 99th in 4:37.33. Senior John Murphy finished 124th in 4:52.59. Sophomore Michael Arculeo placed 135th in 5:09.19, and first-year Joey DeAngelis finished 136th in 5:10.42.
 
In the 400-meter, sophomore Cooper Stutz placed 76th overall in 53.69 seconds.
 
For the 100-meter, sophomore Jack Jacobson placed 55th, running 11:50. In 62nd place was first-year Reed Felker, who clocked 11.55. First-year Bryce Solly finished 108th in 12.15. Sophomore Preston De Grazia finished 127th in 12.49, and junior Javell McMichael placed 142nd in 13.12.
 
For the 800-meter, first-year Keegan Dube finished 82nd overall in 2:06.25. Senior Davis Trump placed 88th in 2:07.18. First-year Brady Snyder finished 94th in 2:07.91. Senior Jordan Gallo placed 121st, running a personal best of 2:11.80.
 
In the 400-meter hurdles, junior Bryce Guthier finished 20th overall in 59.03. His time also earned him the MAC qualifying standard for outdoors in the 400 Hurdles. Sophomore Aidan Phillips placed 35th, running a season best of 1:00.80.
 
For the 200-meter, sophomore Jack Jacobson finished 47th overall in a season best of 23.01 seconds, earning the MAC qualifying standard for outdoors. First-year Reed Felker placed 86th in 23.65. Sophomore Cooper Stutz finished 103rd in 23.87. Sophomore Aidan Phillips placed 133rd with a personal best of 24.80. Sophomore Preston De Grazia also ran a personal best, finishing in 25.08 seconds to place 144th.
 
Switching to the field events on Saturday, in the Long Jump was junior Javell McMichael, who placed 50th with a jump of 5.05 meters.
 
In the Javelin, senior Dane Watson finished 17th overall with a throw of 47.33 meters. First-year Brendan Miller placed 19th with a throw of 46.67 meters. Both Watson and Miller earned the MAC qualifying standard for outdoors in the Javelin.
 
For the Hammer Throw, senior Jonathan Eudja placed 12th overall with a season-best throw of 48.14 meters. Johnathan also earned the MAC qualifying standard for the Hammer.
 
This Wednesday, April 1st, the DeSales men's track and field team will gear up for their next meet at York College (PA).
