Women's T&F Opens Outdoor Season at Stockton Invite

Galloway, NJ (March 22, 2025) - The DeSales University women's track & field team opened up its outdoor T&F season at the Stockton Invite on Saturday.

The Bulldogs had 18 MAC qualfying times/marks at Stockton on Saturday to open the season.

In the track events senior Emma Ribeiro qualified for the MAC Championships in the 100-meters with a time of 13.16, taking fifth place as did first-year Ashley Carrier with a time of 13.40, taking eighth place.

Sophomore Avery Peluszak qualified in two events taking seventh in the 200-meters (27.21) and fifth in the 400-meters (1:01.64), while senior Melissa Peller also qualified in the 200 (27.36), taking eighth.  First-year Kay Wiscount was first in the 1,500-meters with a qualifying time of 4:53.47.

First-year Ellie Kozich was first in the 3K in a time of 10:35.37 and senior Haley Estus was second in a time of 10:40.21.

In the field events, several Bulldogs qualified for the MAC Championships including Peller in the long jump (5.01m), taking fourth place. Sophomore Catherine Crampton also qualified in the long jump, taking second (5.03m).  Senior Emma Mele qualified in the pole vault taking third (2.90m) and first-year Brooke Signorella qualified in the high jump (1.52m) taking second place at Stockton.

Signorella also qualified in the triple jump (10.50m) finishing fourth and Crampton as well in the triple jump taking fifth (10.49m).

First-year Sophia Amoretti qualified in three events including the shot put (12th, 9.45m), the discus (ninth - 30.65m), and the hammer throw (eighth - 32.68m).  First-year Sadie Fenstermaker was fifth in the discus (36.11m) to also qualify and sophomore Sophia Manidis was third in the hammer throw to qualify (38.58m).  Rounding out the qualifiers was first-year Theresa Burghart taking 10th in the hammer throw (30.84m).

DSU is back in action next weekend competing at the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University on Friday and Saturday.
