Center Valley, PA (April 12, 2025) - The DeSales University women's track & field team took home five first place finishes competing at its home invitational on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Among the first place finishes was seniorÂ
Haley Estus taking first in the 5K with a time of 18:16.96. First-yearÂ
Ellie Kozich and seniorÂ
Nina Viglianti also had strong performances in the 5K posting MAC qualifying times of 19:05.54 (third place) and 19:34.75 (6th place). JuniorÂ
Lindsay Bednarek also ran well taking second place in the 400-meters with a time of 1:02.12.
In the field events DSU had four firsts including seniorÂ
Emma Mele in the pole vault (2.84m).
First-yearÂ
Brooke Signorella had two firsts in the long jump (5.21m) and triple jump (10.91) bettering her MAC qualfying mark and posting the third best triple jump in team history. SophomoreÂ
Catherine Crampton also had a strong showing in the long jump (5.01m - third) and triple jump (10.54m - 4th).
First-year Sadie Fenstermaker was first in the discus with a 36.55m mark and third in the hammer throw (39.50m) and fellow first-year Sophia Amoretti bettered her MAC qualfying mark in the hammer throw with a 37.70m.
DeSales is back in action next Saturday traveling to the Widener University Invitational.
